Warm Up:
“Warm up” is important and gets the bottom prepared for the concentrated intensity in a scene. There are times when I am so eager to get into the nitty-gritty of a scene that I need to pause, slow down the pace and make certain that I warm the bottom up properly. Warming up the bottom works well for both both of us because it not only allows her to go much deeper and further into the whip part of the scene, it also allows the Top to use His favorite toy on His favorite bottom for much longer.
First of all, I like to start the scene with personal and up close eye to eye contact, then I use my hands
by rubbing, stroking, patting, then spanking and slapping. Touching helps to set the tone of the relationship between the Top and bottom, connecting them together and establishing who it is that is in charge.
After my ‘skin on skin contact’, I will bring in my most gentle flogger and use it until I am swinging it very hard. The next instrument I like to use is a Buffalo Flogger which is denser, heavier and hits harder, providing a more ‘thudding effect’. However, I start hitting softer than I was with the previous flogger and then begin building up the intensity higher. By this time, the bottom is usually starting to float and is beginning to experience an endorphin high which is just about the time when I change over to my Kangaroo Cat O’ Nine Tails, so I can help her continue the float and provide a bridge to the sting of the whip.
I always check in with the bottom a few times during the warm up because I want to know if she is building intensity along with me or if I am pushing too hard and too fast. The components of a scene require the Tops ability to lead while making certian the bottom is following that lead. It also means journeying together through the beginning, middle and end of the dance.
