"Whip Scenes Without A Cross Or A Rack”

Whenever I do a scene at home or in a private setting, there is often no dungeon furniture to use and therefore I must survey the area to see what is already in the room that will work for the scene.  The bottom needs to be able to rest on or against something so that they can relax and yet still have some kind of support because I do not want them to fall over as they begin to experience an endorphin high and everyday reality starts to fade away.

For support, the bottom can lean against a wall or hold onto a chain or rope suspended from the ceiling or a door frame. To whip their breasts or thighs, I may have them sit in a chair, or kneel facing me.

If they are kneeling while facing away from me, with their knees on the floor and their upper body supported by a sofa, I will place a folded sheet of thick, soft leather on their calves and feet so I do not accidentally whip those areas.  If we are in a bedroom, the bottom can lean over a pillow on the bed with their feet on the floor.

Frequently, there is not enough room to swing a whip in a private setting so be sure to clear away lamps and anything else that the whip might strike.  I always swing the whip at an arm’s length circle around me to make certain that the whip will not hit anything in the scene area.  If there is not enough room, I will move my hand up the handle of the whip to shorten it or I use a ‘Finger Whip’ made by Joe Wheeler.
