Planning and thinking about a Scene is "the enjoyable foreplay" of doing a BDSM Scene.  However, in an actual Scene the Top needs to be ready for the twists and turns that could possibly develop still realizing that spontaneity is a key element that provides the spark to develop fire in the Scene.  My theory is to plan and then let spontaneity flow throughout the Scene, helping to bring up the chemistry and connection between the Top and bottom.

While attending Leather Reign 2008 Conference with Lil’ One, we participated in a Play Piercing Workshop called "The Zen of Piercing" by Mistress Marry.  Lil’ One thought she was attending a lecture, only to discover differently when I sat her down in a chair in front of our dear friend, Dragon, who had a tray full of needles in front of her and cherubic smile on her face anticipating taking Lil' One's 'needle virginity'.  This was a mentoring class on instructing and experiencing needles.  Lil’ One was very nervous and as the first needle pierced her skin, her eyes rolled up into her head, a flush ran up her chest and into her face.  She was flying.

Her reaction to the needles both surprised and inspired me to begin planning a Scene with her that I had never done before; a "Needle Scene".  Two weeks later I purchased a box of 23g x 1.5" needles from "Lovers Lair" in Lynwood, WA., and the next week headed over to her house for the weekend.

I wanted to create a special Scene for us so, on Sunday evening, I had her take a bath and dress in a specific way, during which time I rearranged the furniture in the living room to set up the Play Area.  I then lit some candles and arranged the needles and sharps container as well as got the camera ready.  When I lead her downstairs and into our prepared Scene space, she was completely surprised and pleased by this unexpected turn of events.  What surprised me most of all was that I discovered if you are really careful you can leave the needles in and, STILL HAVE SEX!
